Favourite thing about ConEd?: I really love the tight sense of community in Con-Ed. Regardless of whether they know you or not everyone in our faculty is super supportive and inclusive!

Favourite first-year class?: My favourite class this year would have to be the history of Europe (Hist 106). The content was really interesting and Prof Jainchill was great!

Favourite thing about Teach Exec?: Honestly, this year's teach exec are super awesome! They are all super friendly and genuinely care a lot about making your transition into university smooth and exciting. They've worked super hard to make o-week awesome and if you ever need any help they'll always be there as a support regardless of what it is.

Personal Spotlight: Howdy everyone! My name's Ben and I'm super excited to meet you all!! I'm planning on teaching I/S with teachables in French and History! In my free time I love working out, being outside, and watching shows on Netflix (talk to me about B99, Peaky Blinders, suits, or the office). Next year I'm looking forward to learning how to actually cook, have classes in person, and hang out with all my froshies! I'm really friendly and approachable so if you have honestly any questions about anything at all please reach out I'd love to talk!

Words of wisdom: I know this is what everyone says but GET INVOLVED! There is sososo many things you can get involved with here and it can be intimidating to decide to join stuff on top of classes but it's a really great way to meet people and try new things. If it's too much of a commitment or you don't like it you can always drop it so don't be afraid to come out to events, or join some clubs!

Favourite thing about ConEd?: I honestly love everything about ConEd, but my favorite thing would most likely be all the ConEd love. From faculty to students, everyone is so helpful and supportive. It's a wonderful faculty to be a part of as there are so many lovely people to get to know.

Favourite first-year class?: My favorite first-year class has to be HLTH 102. I found it very relatable and just in general really helpful. Definitely not a content-heavy course, but I really enjoyed the course material. I would definitely recommend it.

Favourite thing about Teach Exec?: I love how all the teach exec's are so energetic and fun to be around. They are all so open to talking about anything. I also really like how all the teach execs are so close to each other as it gives a great foundation for all the other teaches and incoming students.

Personal Spotlight: Hey everyone!!! I'm Kayla and I am really looking forward to meeting you all, and supporting you in your transition to Queens!! We are very lucky you all. I am in PJ and am planning to major in sociology. I love, love, love hockey; especially the Toronto Maple Leafs, and I love Harry Styles. I am very open to talking about any of them!! I am very friendly so never hesitate to reach out and ask me anything. I'm always happy to help. I love sunsets, and really enjoy going on walk's during the sunset here in Kington, so if any of you want to join me, feel free :))

Words of wisdom: My biggest piece of advice, in general, is to simply be kind to everyone as it truly doesn't take much to make someone's day. You never really know what someone is going through and a small act of kindness can go a long way in someone's life. I think this applies a lot to first year as you should be kind to everyone because everyone is on the same page and maybe a little nervous or anxious, and a small act of kindness can make someone's day, and be the start of a friendship.
